Dr. Michael Siering ist als Projektleiter im Kapitalmarktbereich der DZ BANK tätig. Herr Siering arbeitet zudem als assoziierter Wissenschaftler mit der Professur für e-Finance im Rahmen verschiedener Forschungsprojekte im Kontext der Digitalisierung von Finanzdienstleistungen sowie der Finanzmarktüberwachung zusammen. Zusätzlich führt er regelmäßig Lehrveranstaltungen zu Entscheidungsunterstützung und Data Science durch.

Seine Forschungsarbeiten an der Schnittstelle von Finanzdienstleistungen und Wirtschaftsinformatik wurden unter anderem innerhalb der führenden Fachzeitschriften Journal of Management Information Systems (JMIS), Journal of the Association for Information Systems (JAIS), Information Systems Journal (ISJ), Journal of Information Technology (JIT) und Decision Support Systems (DSS) veröffentlicht und auf international führenden Konferenzen vorgestellt. Seine Forschung wurde mit dem JAIS Best Paper Award sowie dem renommiertesten internationalen Publikationspreis der Wirtschaftsinformatik, dem AIS Best Information Systems Publications Award, ausgezeichnet. Herr Siering fungiert regelmäßig als Reviewer für führende Fachzeitschriften und ist zudem als Associate Editor für DSS tätig.

Herr Siering ist zertifiziert in klassischen und agilen Projektmanagement-Methoden, Enterprise Architecture und Service Management. Er hat im Rahmen verschiedener Praxiskooperationen mit Unternehmen wie Börse Stuttgart, Factset Digital Solutions und b-next zusammengearbeitet. Berufserfahrung sammelte Herr Siering zudem innerhalb der Helvetia Versicherungen, als Manager im Bereich Digitalisierung und Risikomanagement bei der Unternehmensberatung d-fine sowie aktuell als Projektleiter im Kapitalmarktbereich der DZ BANK.

Herr Siering war von 2010 bis 2015 als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der Professur für e-Finance tätig und verbrachte zudem einen Aufenthalt als Gastwissenschaftler an der Pennsylvania State University. Seine Promotion schloss er 2014 erfolgreich ab.
